Out of 200 teams at the New York International Open in New York City, Team Lloyd Irvin placed 3rd.
Some of highlight victories were:
- Jared Weiner - 1st Place Black Belt Masters Lightweight
- Jonathan “JT” Torres - 1st Place Brown Belt Lightweight
- Jason Scully - 2nd Place Brown Belt Super Feather
- Jay Hayes - 3rd Place Brown Belt Absolute (Open Weight)

This Saturday on April 25th 2009 at 11:00 we will be having Team Day for all schools and members who are apart of BJJ United/Lloyd Irvin in the Tri-State area. Everyone from the Grapplers Guide Academy should to the best they can to make it there on this day. It should be a great day where you can meet some awesome people and those who are a part of your team.
Team Day will be at the BJJ United Academy in Jenkintown, PA. Just 5 minutes outside of Philadelphia and pretty easy to get to.

Congratulations to Kelly Beaudry on getting her fourth stripe. That means no more stripes on here white belt, next up would be the blue!
Kelly is extremely dedicated and a very hard worker. She trains a lot and it’s really showing.
Congratulations to Kristel Roxas on getting her first stripe on her white belt. She has been training for about 3 months and works really hard when she’s training.
Kristel is a very focused individual and gets better with every class she attends.
Great Job Kelly and Kristel!
