Congrats Chris “20-Watt” Ulbricht at Grapplers Quest

Everyone at the Grapplers Guide Academy would like to congratulate Chris “20 Watt” Ulbricht on his victorys at the Grapplers Quest U.S. National Championships on June 12th.  Chris had 7 tough matches and he came home with the silver medal in the blue belt division going against another fellow Team Lloyd Irvin member in the finals. Then Chris went on to dominate at the intermediate no-gi division taking home the gold medal.  Chris is one of the most dedicated, hard working, and motivated members of the Grapplers Guide and we are extremely proud to have him around.

Team Lloyd Irvin Smashes at the Worlds – Best NJ, PA, MD BJJ Teams!

If you haven’t already heard, Team Lloyd Irvin made history this weekend at the 2010 Mundials!  They were on fire, and our team will continue to be!!  They stood out and made such an impact with a smaller team, I can only imagine what will happen next year.

They arrived here in Long Beach California on Wednesday headed to their hotel room and got rest for the BJJ matches that were up the next morning.

GOLD MEDALISTS:

BJJ Blue Belts Sijara Eubanks, Rachel Demara, Frank Camacho and Evan Gideon placed 1st in their respected divisions.

BJJ Purple Belts Andris Brunovski, Willie Leonard placed 1st in their divisions.  Tracey Goodell took Gold in her division and the absolute.

SILVER MEDALISTS:

BJJ Blue Belts David Zwanetz, DJ Jackson, Evan Gideon(Open Class), Kim Rivers

BJJ Purple Belt Brad Pearson.

BRONZE MEDALISTS:

Kenneth Brown, DJ Jackson(Open Class), Rachel Demara(Open Class)

And our Kids Team took first place overall! Check out the video here!  It was an amazing experience!!

Free uFitX Intro Classes All Next Week – Central Jersey Fitness

img_6249.jpgFree intro classes all week starting on June 14th 2010 and 30 Days Free of classes.

We would like to announce the start of new unique fitness classes that are based upon free movement of the body and hard work.

During the Ultimate FitX (Ultimate Fitness Experience) classes you will experience some of the most effective workout programs you’ve ever come across.

uFitX Classes Involve a Fitness Experience Using Joint Mobility, Yoga Movements, Russian Kettlebells, Bodyweight Training, HIIT (High Intensity Training), Interval Training, Free Body Movements, Ropes, Bands, Gymnastics Rings, Agility Movements and Much More.

These classes are guaranteed to get you into better shape and condition!

For the week of June 14th 2010 starting on Monday we will have free 1 hour introduction sessions almost every day going into the beginning of the following week to help you get an idea of what we do and so you can learn our fundamental movements and will be on your way to getting started to obtaining a much more fit and conditioned body.

The intro uFitX schedule for next week will be as follows:

6/14 – Monday: 9am and 5pm
6/15 – Tuesday: 8am and 5pm
6/16 – Wednesday: 9am and 5pm
6/17 – Thursday: 9am and 5pm
6/18 – Friday: 8am and 5pm
6/20 – Sunday: 10am
6/21 – Monday: 9am and 5pm
6/22 – Tuesday: 8am and 5pm
6/23 – Wednesday: 9am and 5pm

These intro classes are completely free, however we are taking very limited number of people per time slot.

Also for those who decide they would like to continue with the program, you will receive your first 30 days free of training.

Once we reach a total of 30 uFitX members we will not accept anymore membership as we want to just focus on you and help you improve.

So if you are someone who tries to make it to the gym but doesn’t.  Makes it to the gym but doesn’t feel like it’s working anymore.  Needs a push to get you going. Used to be an athlete but lost the work ethic. Wants to feel like an athlete. Is bored with working out. Wants to look forward to working out.

Women Only Mixed Martial Arts Fitness Classes!

We would like to announce our new Women’s Mixed Martial Arts Fitness classes that will be starting next Tuesday (June 15th 2010) and will run on Tues and Thurs every week at 7pm.

This is a women’s only class that will help you get in shape and also help you learn one of the most effective martial arts created, especially for women.

During the classes you will not only get a great workout, but you will also learn how to defend yourself on the ground which is a very common situation for women in self defense situations.

What you can expect:

- A great workout with fun exercises and drills you’ve never done before.

- A fun class environment with like minded women who enjoy doing what you like to do.

- To learn effective techniques that can help you when you are put in situations that are not safe.

- An opportunity to expand further into the martial art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with the possibility of joining additional advanced classes in the future.

- The classes will be taught by a female instructor (with assistance at times from the main academy instructor.)

As with all of our programs at our facility, we limit the number of members we accept in each program.  The reason for this is so we can do our best to to give individual attention to each person and also create and keep a comfortable environment.

We are only accepting 15 members for this program! Along with that the first 15 members that decide to join the program will receive a free uniform and have the opportunity to move up in belt rank in BJJ while getting in shape at the same time!

All women that are new to our facility also received their first 30 days of training for free.
